The first sacrament, the door into the family of God is Baptism

Then the sacraments of Initiation, are Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist.

Children Baptism

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. through Baptism we are feed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission (Cf. CCC 1213).

We normally celebrate Baptism on Saturdays at 11am and require attendance to a baptism preparation.

Reconciliaton

First Reconciliation is celebrated by our children prior to the celebration of First Communion. Reconciliation is a sacramental way to admit our mistakes, receive forgiveness, and try again. There is nothing more refreshing and hopeful than going to Reconciliation.

Formation for this sacrament takes place in conjunction with the religious education process in St. Laurence’s Parish School in Year 2. If your child attends another school Please contact the office for information.

First Holy Communion

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.
(Cf CCC 1324)

The lessons for the First Holy Communion, are done at St Laurence’s Parish School, they are in Year 4. Please contact the Office if your children are attending other schools to organize the preparation


Confirmation

By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit”. (Cf. CCC 1285). 

Confirmations lessons are done at St Laurence’s Parish School, and as of 2018, are held in year 6. For children attending other schools, please call the office on 6852 2213 for information.
